Ingredients:
- 250 ml fresh cranberry juice
- 250 ml fresh pomegranate juice
- 100 ml fresh apple juice
- 250 ml fresh orange juice
- 2 cm piece of ginger root sliced
- 2 star anise
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 tsp whole cloves
- 2 cardamom pods
- 1 pear sliced
- 8 blackberries
- 6 cranberries
- Optional garnishes : rosemary, cinnamon sticks, orange slices
Method:
- We highly recommend cold-press juicing as many of the fruits as possible (with the Angel Juicer) to ensure the majority of the nutrients are retained, whilst also having more juice and less pulp (the angel juicer will give you 20 to 30 percent more juice from the same foods than other juicers).
- Pour the cranberry, pomegranate, orange and apple juices into a large saucepan and gently heat on a low temperature for a few minutes.
- Next, add the cinnamon, cloves, ginger, star anise, cardamom pods and slices of pear, blackberries, cranberries and orange. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stir, cover with a lid and reduce the heat to very low. Allow it to warm through for 30 minutes.
- Strain the mixture through a fine sieve, discarding the spices but reserving the orange slices for garnish.
- Either leave to chill for a couple of hours and pour over some ice to serve cold or serve warm in mugs. Top with your favorite garnishes to finish and enjoy!
